Longfellow Guest House
Logo design, brand identity
The Longfellow Guest House is a historic vacation home located on Hughes Street in Cape May’s Victorian District. I designed a flexible logo system that honors the house’s rich heritage while evoking the warmth of a classic seaside getaway.
The brand identity draws inspiration from Cape May’s iconic Victorian architecture, the house’s 19th-century origins, and the charm of the horse-drawn carriages that still pass by its door. I created multiple logo variations, including one featuring an illustration of the house itself and another with a horse and carriage, to provide the client with adaptable options for signage, print, and digital use.
A script typeface was chosen to reference the elegance and nostalgia of Cape May’s past, paired with a relaxed beach-inspired color palette of soft blues and yellows. The result is a timeless and inviting identity that reflects both the historic character and modern comfort of The Longfellow Guest House.
This is a passion project and in no way affiliated with the Longfellow Guest House.
