KIDEATE
Type design, print design, layout design, brand identity.
KIDEATE is an informational and data-centered booklet meant to inform parents, teachers, and guardians about and provide advocacy for an inclusive K-8 education system regarding disability, gender, sexuality, race, income, and more.
Developed as part of a school assignment, the project challenged me to design a cause-based brand and accompanying informational booklet using self-directed research and data visualization.
I led every aspect of the project, from initial concept and brand identity to writing, layout design, and illustration. The final booklet organizes complex statistics and information into an approachable, digestible format to educate parents, educators, and advocates.
I’m especially proud of how the piece balances clarity with empathy, making difficult information easy to understand without losing its emotional weight.

The logo is a justified stack of text and shape, inspired by building block toys commonly used in younger education settings, with the intent to signify inclusivity and the building of new systems: themes that define KIDEATE’s brand. The making of this booklet consisted of many weeks of research, writing, organization, and creating accurate and understandable communications of data.
The limited color palette, use of white space, and creation and use of graphics and imagery keep the information as least overwhelming as possible, engage readers, and provide accessible ways of support and action. All information is thoroughly organized through hierarchy, color, and layout.
