Little Otter Loom is a handweaving studio offering cozy, one-of-a-kind textiles crafted with intention and care. As an Etsy-based shop, Little Otter Loom was ready for a visual refresh that better reflected its warm, approachable personality and deep love for the handmade.
The brand's identity is designed to evoke a sense of tactile and gentle warmth, like something woven by hand and hung in the sunlight. From the cozy illustrated logo to the friendly wordmark, each element supports the shop’s vision: thoughtful weaving with a heartwarming, woodland twist.
I also photographed the product collection, styling, and shooting each woven piece in natural settings to reflect the warmth and joy behind the craft.
IN MAKING THE LOGO
The rebrand was rooted in a personal detail: the client’s last name translates to otter leg, a whimsical phrase that inspired the creation of an otter mascot as the heart of the brand. The rebrand centers around a playful illustrated otter mascot, soft and curious, paired with a custom script logotype that mimics the organic irregularities of handweaving. The color palette draws inspiration from natural dyes.
